Our cellars provide an ideal solution for the gentle storage of ecologically high-quality food from regional or homegrown sources. This allows for a certain independence from industrial "mainstream" offerings and ensures access to high-quality, regional products with traceable origins at all times. Conscious nutrition, ecological awareness, and independence are becoming increasingly important – the earth cellar can make a valuable contribution to this.
Our seamless plastic cellars are made of high-strength, food-grade plastic with a thickness of up to 10 mm, manufactured using rotational molding. This technology ensures that the product has no weld seams, offers a one-piece construction, and is completely airtight. The lifespan is more than 50 years. The plastic used is safe for food quality, corrosion-resistant, moisture-resistant, and easy to clean and disinfect.
For maximum stability, the cellars are equipped with reinforcing ribs and an inner metal frame made of 2 mm steel, making them resistant to ground pressure. The supply and exhaust air system maintains the required humidity and temperature in the range of +3 to 8 degrees, providing reliable protection against mold and spoilage.

Thoughtful Features of the Plastic Cellar
While some manufacturers use completely vertical ladders made of slippery metal pipes, the Traumpool plastic cellar is standardly equipped with a slightly inclined metal frame ladder with OSB steps. This ladder construction ensures a secure footing without the risk of tripping.
In cellars with an inclined entry, the staircase is designed at an optimal angle of inclination. The standard package includes an OSB floor and comfortable OSB shelves that run on three levels in the cellar. The floor and shelving system are made of 22 mm thick OSB boards, and the shelf depth is 300 mm.
Ventilation System
A well-designed system ensures that the necessary humidity and temperature in the room are maintained between +3 and 8 degrees. This system, consisting of an exhaust and an intake duct, guarantees optimal air circulation. It allows the removal of gases and prevents moisture buildup, providing fruits and vegetables with the required fresh air supply and reliable protection against mold.
Metal Frame
The Traumpool cellar is equipped with a built-in metal frame that ensures the stability and airtightness of the cellar. This frame, acting as a skeleton, prevents deformation under load and allows the cellar to withstand the pressure of heavy soils and high groundwater. Additionally, it serves as a supporting structure for the interior fittings such as shelves and flooring. To prevent corrosion and increase durability, the frame is powder-coated.

WARRANTY
The manufacturer offers a 2-year warranty on the plastic body and metal frame, provided that the buyer follows the handling and installation instructions. During this warranty period, the buyer can request a free repair if defects due to manufacturing errors occur. Individual components are excluded from this 2-year warranty and have a warranty period of 6 months.
1. Product Warranty Period
The warranty period for a Traumpool plastic cellar is 14 months from the date of sale, as noted in the acceptance and handover certificate.
2. Warranty Conditions:
2.1 Rectification of Defects: The rectification of defects is only carried out within the warranty period specified in the product manual.
2.2 Validity of the Warranty: The warranty is only valid if the product manual contains a correctly filled acceptance and handover certificate for the Traumpool cellar.
2.3 Scope of the Warranty: The warranty covers the functionality of the fittings, the quality of the food-grade plastic, floors, and shelves, as well as mechanical and welded connections.
3. Possible Causes of Malfunctions
Hinge Squeaking (if present): Cause: Dirt or lack of hinge lubricant. Solution: Lubricate hinges once a year.
Condensation: Cause: Lack of ventilation. Solution: Improve air circulation.
At outside temperatures below 0 degrees, warm air rises from the cellar through the exhaust pipe and condenses there due to rapid cooling by the ambient temperature. Solution: Insulate exhaust pipes.
4. Warranty Compensation Procedure
If the buyer detects defects within the warranty period that fall under the warranty, the buyer must inform the manufacturer. To verify a complaint, it is necessary to submit a complaint letter with justification, video or photo material of the defects, and documents (product manual, contract, or invoice) that indicate the purchase date and installation of the product. The manufacturer is obligated to check the quality of the product. The buyer has the right to participate in the quality inspection of the product.
The seller (manufacturer) has the right to send their specialist to investigate the identified defects. All claims regarding product quality are accepted and processed in accordance with applicable law.

Installation
The installation of the cellar can generally be carried out in any type of soil. However, before starting the work, you should contact the relevant authorities. The installation includes the following main phases:
- Marking the pit
- Excavation of the pit
- Preparation of a sand/gravel bed
- Pouring the foundation slab
- Installation of the cellar
- Anchoring the cellar on a concrete base (with steel cables that have a breaking load of at least 9 tons)
- Backfilling up to the insulation
- Laying the insulation (extruded polystyrene foam with a thickness of at least 50 mm in two layers)
- Final backfilling
- Installation of the ventilation system
